Dave Kopka has designed picture books, middle grade, and young adult novels, as well as lettered for comics; both as a designer for Penguin Young Readers and currently as a freelancer for clients such as Nancy Paulsen Books, G. P. Putnam's Sons, First Second, and Lonely Planet Kids. He has a fascination and detailed-focus around visual narratives within the print medium, especially if it involves a BOOM-BANG sound effect, or melding authors' words and artists' imagery together.
